Terms applying when courses are booked with Liverpool Street Works Centre

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This policy explains how course bookings with Liverpool Street Works Centre are accepted and administered. Liverpool Street Works Centre is a trading name of Motion Safe Limited, company number 13694631. It should be read with our Cancellation and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Making a booking

Bookings may be made through our website, by email or telephone, by an employer or organisation acting for a learner, or through a written quotation for corporate or dedicated training. The person making the booking must provide accurate and complete learner, course, billing and eligibility information and must have authority to make the booking and accept these terms.

An online order, payment or enquiry is an offer to book. A binding booking is formed only when we issue written confirmation. If we cannot accept a booking, we will notify the customer and refund any course fee collected.

2. Course availability and confirmation

Published dates and availability are correct to the best of our knowledge but remain subject to confirmation. Places are allocated on a first-confirmed, first-served basis. A place is secured only when we have accepted the booking, received any required cleared payment or agreed credit terms, received required eligibility information, and confirmed the course and date in writing.

The customer must check the confirmation promptly, including the learner name, selected course, date, location, employer or sponsor details and entry requirements, and report any error without delay.

3. Prices, VAT and payment

The price payable is the price shown at checkout or stated in the accepted quotation. Any VAT or other charge that is payable will be identified before payment and shown on the invoice or receipt. We may correct an obvious pricing or administrative error before accepting a booking.

Public course bookings normally require full payment when booked. Payment may be made by the online methods offered at checkout. Bank transfer, invoice or other credit terms are available only where agreed in writing. Employer and corporate payment terms may be set out in a quotation or invoice. We may release an unconfirmed place or suspend certification while undisputed fees remain overdue.

4. Joining instructions

Joining instructions will normally be sent before the course and may include arrival and finishing times, venue and parking details, required identification, personal protective equipment, clothing or footwear, preparation and assessment information. The learner and the person making the booking are responsible for reading and following them. Please contact us if joining instructions have not arrived three working days before the course.

5. Entry requirements and learner information

Some courses have age, experience, identification, employment, qualification or other entry requirements. The customer must check the published course information and ensure that each learner qualifies. We may request evidence before or during training. The learner’s full legal name must match the identification and qualification records used for registration and certification.

A learner who cannot participate because a published requirement has not been met, required identification or equipment has not been brought, or inaccurate details have been supplied may be treated as a late cancellation or non-attendance. Additional third-party registration or correction charges may be passed on where lawful and reasonably incurred.

6. Learners under 18

A booking for a learner under 18 must be agreed with us in advance. We may require consent and contact details from a parent or guardian and, where relevant, confirmation from the employer or training sponsor. Course-specific age or safety restrictions still apply.

7. Reasonable adjustments and wellbeing

Learners should tell us as early as possible about a disability, learning need, accessibility requirement or reasonable adjustment. We will discuss reasonable support while preserving essential assessment and health and safety requirements. We ask customers not to provide unnecessary medical detail. Sensitive information will be handled under our Privacy Policy.

8. Attendance, punctuality and conduct

Learners must attend for the full times stated in the joining instructions. Late arrival, early departure or missed teaching or assessment time may prevent completion and may require a further paid booking or assessment. No refund is normally due in those circumstances.

Learners must follow reasonable staff instructions and health and safety rules, treat others appropriately, avoid disruption or risk, and attend free from the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. We may remove a learner for unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or otherwise unacceptable conduct. No refund is normally due where removal is justified.

9. Assessment, results and certification

Payment and attendance do not guarantee a pass, qualification, card or certificate. Outcomes depend on satisfactory participation, meeting the assessment standard, accurate registration information, awarding-organisation verification and payment of undisputed charges. Third-party result and certificate times are estimates and are outside our direct control. Reassessment or additional training may incur a further fee.

10. Course changes and minimum numbers

We may make reasonable changes to a tutor, assessor, room, timetable, location or delivery sequence. Some scheduled courses require minimum learner numbers. If we cancel or make a substantial change, the options in our Cancellation and Refund Policy will apply. We recommend that customers avoid non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements.

11. Corporate and dedicated training

Corporate or dedicated training may be governed by an accepted quotation, statement of work or separate booking agreement covering learner numbers, venue, equipment, expenses, payment and cancellation. If a specific written term conflicts with this policy, the specific agreed term takes priority for that booking.

12. Transfers, substitutions and cancellations

Requests to transfer, substitute a learner or cancel a place are handled under our Cancellation and Refund Policy and must be sent to enquiries@liverpoolstreetworks.uk. Statutory consumer cancellation rights are not restricted by this policy.

13. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, power or internet failure, illness, venue closure, industrial action, government restriction or an awarding-organisation decision. We will notify affected customers and offer a reasonable alternative where possible.
